Summary of Changes for the 2012 Show Season
*Several of these changes are due to exhibitor suggestions received at the shows. The ICPHA Board would like to thank everyone for their suggestions!
Start time for Sunday shows changed to 8:30am. · Due to the length of time that our Speed show has been taking on Sunday Mornings, we have move the start time to 8:30am. Our hope is that this will reduce the delay in beginning the Pleasure show on Sundays.
2012 Pleasure Show Class Order · The order of classes has been updated for the pleasure show this year so that all of the ground classes (including lead line) will be run together, all of the horsemanship classes (2 & 3 gaited) will be run together, and all of the pleasure classes (2 & 3 gaited) will be run together.
New Jackpot English Equitation Class · A new Jackpot English Equitation class has been added to the English portion of the show.
Possible Exhibition Pleasure Class · Due to several requests, we have added a possible exhibition pleasure class during the 30 minute break if show time and arena space allows. The class will be a structured but non-judged pleasure class costing $3 per entry. Schooling will be permitted and show clothes will not be required. This is something that was requested by several participants looking for inexpensive ring experience for training horses.
Reining Class removed · Due to lack of participation, the Reining class has been removed from the 2012 showbill.
Jackpot Flag Race changed to Jackpot Mystery Class · Due to lack of participation in our Jackpot Flag Race, we have changed this to a Jackpot Mystery Class. The Mystery Class will run a different pattern at each show including Ball Race, Thread the Needle, Keyhole, Dollar Bill Race, Stakes Race, Flag Race, and more. The pattern for the Mystery Class will be posted at the beginning of each show.
Membership Point Requirement Changes · For 2012 there will be a 1 point requirement for 8 & under members; 9 and over members will have a 15 point requirement to be eligible for year end awards. We have also added a clause this year to allow the ICPHA Board to reduce the point requirement according to the financial stability of the organization which will give us the ability to give out additional awards for years that are more successful. |
